Katie turned 12 on September 23, 2001 and was entered at a CKC draft dog event where she passed and became the oldest dog to acquire this title.  Katie to date has 46 titles and has acquired 27 of her titles after her 7th birthday. We never entered the veteran class until Katie was 10 years old due to my not wanting to admit her age I guess, or her being so able to compete with the younger dogs. Katie was at the CCA in Kentucky this spring and was still able to pass in the regular agility classes at 24"in the excellence class. She still jogs every second day 4 miles and does regular exercise sets on the agility and flyball equipment. Katie still actively competes in flyball, agility and obedience and obviously a little carting. She is a core dog on the flyball team and at her most resent flyball event in Michigan in October got 700 point towards her Onyx which is 20,000 points, she is roughly at 17,000 points. She has one leg on her excellence agility in CKC, haven't gotten to another trial to finish it off yet. She is working on her CDX in UKC and hope to finish that next year. And we are still working on legs in NADAC, USDAA and AAC. This ability has been passed on to her children and grandchildren. Katie's son and grandson are second and third to her on the North American Flyball Association's rankings. She has several breed champions and her son and daughter have many titles to their names as well. Katie still loves to compete and is not one to sit at home if the truck is leaving. Most people who see her think I am lying when I tell them she is 12 years old, which now I take as a very nice compliment.
