Blankets

Linda Hughes, Camp Collie Great Falls Supervisor, reports they are receiving blankets from “all over the country.”  She asked me to tell you all, “Thank you, and keep them coming!”

Washer/Dryer

Whirlpool Brand Manager, Ericka Wietecha, of Whirlpool Laundry Division, has graciously agreed to donate a Duet washer/dryer to CC-GF.  “I’m glad we can help with this wonderful cause,” Ericka told me.  After reading “every word” on the AWCA web site, she called in response to my request for help with washing and drying the blankets and towels you are sending to the Montana collies and other animals.  Ericka asked me if I thought the collies would like the Duet in blue or grey.  I said both colors sounded like blue merles to me, so she could make an executive decision.  The Whirlpool Duet has a sanitary cycle to sanitize the animals’ laundry, an extremely important feature.  (Ericka told me not to mention she was a chocolate Lab fanatic, so of course, I won’t!)

At the conclusion of this rescue mission, AWCA will donate the Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer to the Humane Society of Cascade County, of which Linda Hughes is Director, to help those animals.

Ericka said her friend Meredith Yacso of Procter & Gamble has arranged to provide laundry detergent for the animals’ laundry.

On behalf of animal lovers everywhere, I send an extremely warm thank you to Ericka Wietecha of Whirlpool and Meredith Yacso of Procter & Gamble for helping with the care and comfort of the Montana collies and their fellow animals.

Calmly,

Jean Levitt, President AWCA
