UPDATE 7/21/03 on the Montana Collies
Statement by AWCA President Jean Levitt, reporting from Camp Collie, Great Falls, MT
*Permission to crosspost*
Folks, I am so happy to tell you about Number 44, the dog that we were all so worried about last winter, the dog that you all prayed for and held positive thoughts to encourage her to eat. This shy little girl has been adopted by a lovely woman, and together they are living in a cozy home with a pretty, fenced-in, shady yard. Her person works at home in a lower level office. Until Number 44 learns to do the stairs, her person is working on the first floor as much as possible so they can be together.
FINAL DEADLINE FOR ADOPTION APPLICATIONS EXTENDED: Monday July 28, 2003
Contrary to recent newspaper reports, which stated that all collies had been adopted, there are still many collies waiting for you. With 100-plus degree weather daily, we still cannot ship collies. We need adopters who can come to Montana to escort a collie home by the first week in August.
The spay/neuter process has been successfully completed. There is no longer any reason for these collies to remain at Camp Collie. Won’t you open your home and your heart to a Montana collie?
To obtain adoption forms, please contact Secretary Judy Cummings at jccollie@worldnet.att.net.
