UPDATE 8/2/03 on the Montana Collies

Statement by AWCA President Jean Levitt, reporting from Camp Collie, Great Falls, MT

Folks, it is with the greatest pleasure that we tell you our dream for the Montana collies has come true.  As of today, with the exception of the 29 animals covered in the court order, the animals have been carefully placed in loving homes.  There are no more animals residing at Camp Collie.

Certain special needs collies have been carefully placed in foster care with experienced collie and sheltie rehabilitators.  Physical special needs collies are being medically evaluated and emotional special needs collies are learning to trust people.  These precious dogs will be placed in their forever homes as soon as it is appropriate.
